This week is a short week. We will do a two story review. The two stories are
"The Midnight Ride of Sybil Ludington" and "Radio Rescue". We will take a clicker test on the correct way to take tests. Please keep reading this week even though we are out of school for 2 days. It is almost time for our AR goal deadline.

The students in room one have been reviewing addition strategies for double and triple digit numbers. Remember when you are adding money, you need a dollar sign and a decimal point. This week we will start with subtracting. Keep working on those math fact strategies:

*Doubles
*Doubles plus one
*Plus one
*Plus two
We have learned "New Groups Above", "New Groups Below" and "Show all Groups". These are just a few methods we have learned when adding which help the students to understand the idea behind regrouping numbers.
Social Studies
Our class wrapped up the Science Unit on the Moon, Earth, and Sun and will begin learning about communities this week.
