We start a new Reading Unit this Week. It is called "Traditions". The first story is a non-fictional (true) story byPatricia Polacco. It is called "The Keeping Quilt". It tells the story of a Family Heirloom passed down from generation to generation. The spelling words for the week concentrate on the long vowel sounds /a/ and /e/.

We are almost at the Unit End. This week we will review for the Unit Math exam, practice how subtraction relates to addition, practice more subtraction, and then take the test on Friday.
