A Great Conclusion to a fantastic book!

I do believe it is the BFG and Sophie!

On Friday, October 18, we celebrated the conclusion of reading the BFG, by Roald Dahl. We had toast and jam, we drank frobscottle and we made phizzwizards (dreams). We had a guest appearance of the two main characters: The BFG and Sophie, and we watched the animated version of the book so we could contrast and compare. We are just finishing up another book by Roald Dahl; it is called George's Marvelous Medicine. We will be assembling our own batch of marvelous medicine as part of the Halloween party this coming Friday. Feel free to contribute any yummy dry food goods to our concoction (chocolate chips, nuts, chex mix, pretzels, raisins, craisins, etc...).

Our Spelling words for this week are:
  • spring
  • knee
  • throw
  • patch

We are starting a new chapter in Math counting and comparing money. So break open your piggy banks and start to practice.

Have a super week of learning: Mrs. Shore (Sophie) and Mrs. Graham (BFG), just in case you didn't know.
