We Won!!

Mrs. Shore/Graham's class won the best attendance for the month of February. We will be receiving Happy Meals from McDonalds on Monday, March 9, 2009.

Thank you to all the parents for attending conferences. We had 100% conference attendees.

The Iditarod race started on Saturday. We will choose mushers Monday morning before we leave on our Field Trip to The Pocatello Water Department. We have a busy day on Monday.

The end of the Fifth Six week grading period in April 17th. We already have the first boy and girl in our class reach their AR goal. Congratulations to Donald Rowberry and Joselle Newton.

The reading anthology we will be discussing and reviewing this week is Trapped by the Ice by Michael McCurdy. The spelling list will concentrate on words with the VCCV pattern; they are as follows:

Monday
sudden
until
forget
happen
follow
dollar
window
hello
market
pretty
order
after
stubborn
funny
expect

In math we are taking our Chapter Test on "Reading from graphs and tables". We will start probability on Tuesday.

Everyone has an assignment to create a 3D model of the Water Cycle. This ties in well with our current science curriculum as are learning about Earth's natural resources.

Keep reading and working on your basic addition, subtraction, and multiplication facts. When you are fluent in your facts, you will do much better in your fourth grade math class.

Questions of the Week:
What is a biography? How many slaves did Harriet Tubman help lead to freedom? How many passengers did she lose?
