Mrs. Fehringer (our ISU 309 student) is starting her teaching sequence this week. We are concentrating on the story Across the Wide Dark Sea. She is already off to a great start with the students with her introductory cooperative group activity. The kids had a lot of fun learning about different countries and interesting places around the world.
Spelling Words for this week will concentrate on the /oo/sound found in tooth, and the /oo/ sound found in cook:

In math we are concentrating on probability using coins, spinners, and color wheels. This is a quick chapter with an assessment coming up at the end of the week. Keep working on your multiplication facts....we are almost there!!
In Science we will continue discussing and reading about earth's natural resources. Our trip to the Pocatello Water Department was very successful. The students learned many different ways to recycle and reuse. Just ask them about those scary spiders!!
