P.E.
District #25 Elementary School no longer have P.E. specialists. This will be left up to each teacher. The third grade team at Ellis has decided to divide up our specialties and rotate on PE days. Mrs. Graham will provide PE activities for each Third Grade Class for 30 minutes (each class). Mrs. Eborn will be teaching the required Second Step Lessons which help students with social problem solving and interactions. Mrs. Reece will be teaching a variety of subjects (Science, Art, Social Studies, or special lessons) We think this will be a great way for the third grade students to get to know other teachers and also get a wider variety of curriculum.
Math
For the first two weeks of school the third grade team at Ellis will focus on Fact Strategies for addition and subtraction. At the end of this 2 week review, each student will be given a 1 minute screener to determine if they need further assistance or interventions with math. Please drill on fact fluency at home. The students also need to have a solid understanding of place value through the thousands.

Any student can post their answers here. I will check the posts weekly. If any student posts their answer, I will give them a blue token in class.
