Language Arts:
This week, we begin a new Reading Theme called INCREDIBLE STORIES. Our first story is about a dog that lives in a volcano and comes to terrorize a city full of mice. The name of the story is DOGZILLA. The spelling words are as follows:
  • clown
  • lawn
  • talk
  • sound
  • cloth
  • would
  • also
  • mouth
  • crown
  • soft
  • count
  • law
We continue to work on Mountain Language Skills. The toughest skill is Dictionary Guide Words and the one word that fits between them. We have to remember, it's just like ABC order and the first and last word are given to us. We just have to figure out the one word that fits between the guide words.

Math: All of the third graders at Ellis have been working on graphing skills and finding the missing information by either adding or subtracting. Today we begin bar graphs with information and missing information. We will be creating our own graphs throughout the week. Please, continue to work on your addition and subtraction skills.

Science: Hooray!! Our class loves Science and the fun centers we have been doing on Mass, Motion, and Sound. Keep up the good work on your Science investigations.

Question of the Week:
1. Show the possessive for the following sentence:

2. Make these singular nouns into plural nouns:
